You are guaranteed Santa, skating, proper snow and reindeer.

5 The Tiger Who Came To Tea

This classic tale by Judith Kerr at Birmingham Town Hall is about a mysterious hungry tiger who visits a little girl.

It runs from December 26 to January 13.

6 The Snowman

Based on the well-loved book by Raymond Briggs, the stage show has come to Birmingham REP.

It runs from January 16 to 19.

7 Santa Safari

At West Midland Safari Park, go for an animated sleigh ride and visit Santa in a log cabin.

Open from December 1 to 24, plus 29 and 30.

8 Magic Alley

Solve a festive mystery and throw snowballs in this Harry Potter-style experience.

Open from November 17 to December 24.

9 Blithbury Reindeer Lodge

In Rugeley, Blithbury Reindeer Lodge houses England’s largest reindeer herd of working animals. Visit Father Christmas, see Punch and Judy and have a sleigh ride.

Open on weekends from November 17 to December 23.

10 Hogwarts in the Snow

Based on the Warner Bros. Studio Tour in London, all things Harry Potter have been given a festive twist.

Open until January 27.

11 Lapland UK

Visit a winter wonderland in Whitmoor Forest, Berkshire. Gingerbread decorating, huskies, ice skating and reindeer all feature.

Open until Christmas Eve.
